There is no better time to dip a toe into brewing your own fresh herbal sun tea than right now. The dog days of summer have brought us an abundance of plants which can be picked right out of the yard, in many cases, and made into the most beautiful, tasty, and nourishing brew. Plus, it's so simple! Many who reflect on the first time they brewed their own fresh tea say they were astonished with just how easy, fresh, and delicious it really was.
Here is all you really need:
1 1/2 cups fresh herbs
1 Quart Filtered Water
Simply add your herbs to a large mason jar, then let sit in the sun 6-8 hours. Strain and enjoy!
Some of my favorite blends include:
Lemon balm, Spearmint, and Catnip
Red Clover and Peppermint
Red Raspberry, Chamomile, and Lemongrass
You can add equal parts of these herbs to make your blend, or feel free to experiment with different ratios. There's no wrong way to do it!
What are some of your favorites?
Light and Love,
